She was predeceased by: her husband Arlon Lee Simpson; her daughter Susan Lea Simpson; and her brother James Wesley Taylor. She is survived by: her daughters, Melinee (Robert Fernandez) of Miami, FL and Adelaide (Stephen Weatherburn) of Las Vegas, NM; her grandchildren, Cristina Fernandez of New York City, NY, Megan Fernandez of Miami, FL, Carolina Fernandez of Miami, FL, John "Jack" Linzie of Las Vegas, NM and William Linzie of Las Vegas, NM; and her sisters-in-law, Cathy Taylor (James) of Valdosta and Wylodine Lewis of Decatur. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
