He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Archuleta and Escolastica Archuleta; his siblings, Rafael Archuleta, Elvira Mondragon and Josefita Trujillo; his parent-in-law Fulgencio Valdez; his brothers-in-law, Paul Valdez, Fugencio Valdez Jr. and Floyd Valdez; and also Clorinda Valdez.
He is survived by: his sons, Susan Lovato (Andres) of Las Vegas, NM, Richard Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM, Tony Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM, Irene Martinez Archuleta of Las Vegas, NM, Eric Archuleta (Nicole) and Jose Archuleta Jr. of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by grandchildren: fourteen great-grandchildren: numerous other relatives and many friends.
