It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Gallegos (Las Vegas, New Mexico), who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Helen T. Gallegos; his brother Fernando Gallegos; his sister-in-law Vangie Gallegos; his cousin Eloisa V. Montoya; and his daughter-in-law Teresa Gallegos.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Gallegos; his children, Joseph Eloy Gallegos (Yvonne), Lorinda Valdez (David), Doris Gallegos Angela Garza (Robert), Jeannette Baca (Randy), Shirley Duddy (Richard) and Kathy Garza; and his sister Sandy Armstrong (Ken). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
