It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Davis Vigil of Las Vegas, New Mexico, born in Avon, Colorado, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrocinio Vigil (N. M. Lodge) and Margarita Vigil; his grandson David; and his nephew David (Dorothy). He is survived by: his spouse Scottie; his son-in-law Jack; his grandson Adrian; his siblings, Dorotea, Ignacio Vigil (Mary Lynn), Johnny Vigil (Louise) and Santos Vigil (Marilyn); his daughters, Barbara Vigil-Cambron (Jim) of Highlands Ranch and Janet Mathews (Jack) of Thornton; his granddaughter-in-law Kathy Faust; his grandchildren, Adam Mathews (Desiree), Stacie Garcia (Manuelito), Monique Casey (Kevin), Elise Cayayan (Leo) and Jesse Vigil-Cambron (Laura); his siblings, Marie Jewel, Joe Vigil (Connie), Lorraine Vigil, Benny Vigil (Faith) and Alfred Vigil (Carmen); and also Tia Fefa (Estefanita "Josie"). He is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Until the pandemic he rarely missed mass and always carried a rosary in his pocket.
