Verneta Faye Barron Elder Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verneta Faye Barron Elder of Las Cruces, New Mexico, born in Abernathy, Texas, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Dwayne Elder; and her siblings, Dortha Mae Conn, Ella Marie Barron, Verlon Wayne Barron and Lawrence Ell Barron.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Denise Elder Johnson (Greg) and Lyntha Darlene Elder Masterson; her grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Christopher Masterson (Kim), James Masterson (Amanda) and Jacquelyn Masterson; and her sister Nell Dean Apperson of Lewisville, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Youth Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church located at 1800 S Locust St., Las Cruces, NM 88001.
