He was predeceased by: his parents, Carpio Gomez and Antonia Gomez; his sister Velia; and his daughter Roxanne. He is survived by: his children, Janine (Gabe), Michael and Joseph (Jessie); his grandchildren, Kassandra, Jazlyn, Michael, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Ke'Nen, Ka'Leah and Ka'Mia.
