He was predeceased by: his brother Manuel "Bill" Vargas. He is survived by: his close friend Juana Mesa of Lordsburg, NM; his children, Dominic Vargas (Jessica) of Flower Mound, TX, Bobbydan Vargas (Vanessa) of Las Cruces, NM and Bernadette Vargas Holguin (Edward) of Lewisville, TX; his brother David Vargas (Debra) of Silver City, NM; his grandchildren, Analicia, Samantha, Bridgette, Kody, Dominque, Auria and Eliette; his niece Andrea; his nephews, Troy and Jason; his great-nephew James; and his great-nieces, Cassie, Kayla, Krista, Karina, Scarlett, Brook and Claire.
A rosary was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Terrazas Funeral Chapels (1 Fort Bayard Rd, Silver City, NM 88061). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (420 W Market St, Silver City, NM 88061). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Vincent's Catholic Cemetery (420 W Market St, Silver City, NM 88061).
