He was predeceased by: his wife Doris; his close friend Patti Poe; his siblings, Edward, Virgil, Lawrence, Louis, Frank, Jerome, Ethel, Elizabeth, Katherine, Lorraine and Mary; and his niece Louise Stopak.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Knopik Gomez (Michael) and Kay Lynn Knopik Phillips; his grandsons, Christopher Gomez, Joshua Gomez (Maritza) and Josh Brantley (Tish); his stepchildren, Stephen, Anthony Rice (Kathy) and Rene LeGier; his great grandchildren, Jonah, Mia, Lucia and Viviana; his sister Rose; and his niece Dee Eikmeier. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Memorial Cemetery (1827 College Dr, Mt Carmel, IL 62863).
