He is survived by: his children, Miguel Melendez, Irene Calderon (Joe) of Hobbs and Dolores Remington (Mark) of Ruidoso; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Calderon of Denver, Tamara Jones (Justin) and Chandra Miramontes (Arturo); his great grandchildren, Johnny Lopez (Alizia), Joanna Leon, Anthony Jones, Grayson Jones, Carmen Leon and Cristina Leon; and his great great grandchild Eustolia Miramontes of Roswell.
