As we bid Margarita farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Margarita is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her father Arturo Chavez. She is survived by: her mother Angelita Chavez; her children, Jay Stokes and Amy Gabaldon (Mark); her grandsons, Corbin Stokes and Ari Hernandez; her siblings, Raymond Chavez (Melinda), Thomas Chavez (Bertha), Erlinda Garcia, Arthur Chavez, Jr. and Stella Otero; and her niece Sophie Molina. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
