He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Pickett and Helen Pickett; his sister Linda Pummell; and his former wife Jackie Goss Guaderrama. He is survived by: his wife Martha Pickett; his sons, Doug Pickett (Amy Rankin) and Mark Pickett (Valerie Pickett); his stepsons, Garcia (Jamie Garcia) and Ryan Garcia; his brothers, John Pickett (Susan Pickett) and Jim Pickett (Michelle Pickett); and his former wife Debbie Ramsey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made the local Alzheimer's Association at 141 Roadrunner Parkway, Suite 133, Las Cruces, NM 88011.
