The passing of Laurence Madewell (Las Cruces, New Mexico), born in Portland, Oregon leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 12, 2025 at the age of 70. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Madewell and Billy Madewell; his granddaughter Jaylee Padilla; and his brothers-in-law, Juan Unpingco and Mike Flores.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Madewell; his daughter Veronica Madewell; his grandchildren, Chloe Madewell, Dominic Padilla and Jaylyn Padilla; his siblings, Doris Lowell, Laura Madewell, Wendy Madewell and Junior Madewell; and his sisters-in-law, Amelia Unpingco and Sally Flores. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Larry and Rachel's Home. Viewing will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Getz Funeral Home. A rosary will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (1327 N Miranda St, Las Cruces, NM 88005). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
Larry's significant contributions to his field will be fondly remembered by his colleagues and friends.
