He is survived by: his children, Paul Hernandez (Monica), Mark Hernandez (Esther), Jessica Padilla (Jon) and Marcella Hernandez (Pete); his daughter-in-law Jeanne Hernandez; his grandchildren, Jason Padilla (Desiree), Candice Hernandez (Adrian), Jenise Padilla, Andrew Hernandez (Jovanna), David Hernandez (Sarah), Brittany Saenz (Alex), Joseph Hernandez, Adriana Hernandez (Gabe), Vic Brandon Montoya and Mark Hernandez (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Xander, Kenneth, Lilly, Avery, David Jr., Christian, Johnathon, Isaiah, Siena, Dylan, Caleb, Cayden, Coraline, Isaac, Nathaniel, Eli and Sebastian; and his sister Jessie Ortega. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A rosary was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Health Catholic Church (1178 N Mesquite St, Las Cruces, NM 88001).
