He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Chavez and Irene Chavez; and his siblings, Reyes, Benjamin and Anne.
He is survived by: his children, Dolores Wilson (Jim) of Fairacres, NM, Tommy Chavez (Esther) of Mesquite, NM, Lisa Trevino (Ralph) of Fairacres, NM, Ricky Chavez (Priscilla) of Tularosa, NM and Henrietta Sanchez (Mario) of San Antonio, TX; and his siblings, Virginia Elizaldez of Fairacres, NM and Jack Chavez of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Genevieve Catholic Church (100 S Espina St, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 Montana Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
