With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Franklin Martin McKay of Las Cruces, New Mexico, who passed away on March 28, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Norman McKay and Lucy Belle McKay (Martin); his siblings, Omer and Evelyn; and his children-in-law, Sandy McKay and Steve Alfaro.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen (Schonhoff); his brother Edward McKay of Colleyville, TX; his children, Angela Alfaro of Las Cruces, NM, Farrel McKay (Denise) of Belen, NM, Perry McKay of Dumas, TX, John McKay (Pam) of Loganville, GA and Lora Pate (Tim) of Bentonville, ARK; and his stepchildren, Mona Walker (Dennis) of Sugar Land, TX, Philip Payne (Debbie) of El Paso, TX and Stephen Payne (Michelle) of Silverdale, WA.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; along with many nieces and nephews, his numerous friends and neighbors.
