He is survived by: his wife Julieta Chavez; his children, Felipe Chavez, Jr. (Norma), Nellie Chavez-Owens (Stephanie), Carlos Chavez (Amanda) and Jaime Chavez (Crystal); his sisters, Maria Del Rosario Minjarez, Margie Salazar, Lorraine Gonzales (Louie), Josie Moore, Mary Sandoval, Connie Torres (Mando), Irene Torres (Damian), Rosie Hernandez (Martin) and Terry Wince (Terry); his grandchildren, Lorraine, Cristy, Gabriel, Mika, Maya, Olivia, Carlos, Anaya and Isaac; and his great grandchild Aleena. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
