He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gwendolyn Edington; his children, Lynette Smith, Brent Edington (Claudia Edington), Ann Edington Adams (Kevin Ridd) and Claudia Edington; his parents, Ethel Viola Whitaker and Milton Edington Sr.; and his brother Eddie. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
During his childhood in Duncan, Everett said it gave him the foundation for the most important things in his life: how to work, the importance of an education, the gospel and love for his family.
