She was predeceased by: her husband Edward N. Brown; her parents, Mariano Alvarez and Sara Alvarez; and her siblings, Mariano Alvarez (Nito), Rudolfo Alvarez (Rudy), Raymond Alvarez (Ray), Josephine Lopez (Fita) and Elisa Ramirez (Licha).
She is survived by: her daughter Gerry Brown-Encinias; her son-in-law Ancelmo Encinias; and her sisters, Vestina Vargas (Tina) and Sara Mastellos (Tony Mastellos). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
