She is survived by: her husband Mannie Varela; her niece Sonia Flores; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jausim Cabañas and Jared Terrazas; her great grandchild Isacc Apollo Cabañas; her great-nephew Marcus Sanchez; her siblings, Gilbert, Estella, Alice, Gracie and Richard; her sister-in-law Lourdes "Lulu"; and her brothers, Reymundo and Jesus "Chuy" Sanchez.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A rosary was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary (1240 S Espina St, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A reception was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the The Eagle's.
