He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Garner and Ruth Garner (Sutton); his former wife Josephine "Jo" Totea; his wife Deanna Barrett; his siblings, James Garner and Anna Mae Ramhoff; and his stepdaughter Lori Hettrick.
He is survived by: his sons, John Garner (Coco) of Las Cruces, NM and Joseph Garner of Las Cruces, NM; his stepchildren, Gerald Smith (Jackie) of Grove City, PA and Pamela Yuran of Sharon, PA; his stepson-in-law Don Hettrick of Hubbard, OH; his siblings, Marylou Hook of Texas, Ramona Seib (Fred) of Maryland, Jack Garner (Ila) of Ohio and Martin Garner (Joyce); his sister-in-law Charlene Garner of Sunbury, PA; and his grandchildren, Christopher Garner, Shaina Jones and Benjamin Smith.
