He was predeceased by: his father Tom Merritt; and his brother Tommy. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his brother JD (Carole); his children, Robin Stamnos (Michael Burke), Kristi Grant and Kenneth (Wendy); his grandchildren, Megan Gutierrez (Jeremy), Derek Stamnos, Justin Stamnos, Ryan Burkett (Felicia), Elliot Burkett, Samantha Trojano (Mark) and John Underwood; his great grandchildren, Kasandra Navarrete, Blaine Weedman, Peyton Weedman, Francis Trojano and Aidree Gutierrez; and his large Sonic.
