He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores Reyna; his son Arturo Santiago Monsivaiz; his parents, Elias Monsivaiz and Alicia Monsivaiz; his great grandchild Raymond Arturo Flores; his siblings, Manuel Monsivaiz, Wally Monsivaiz and Gloria Monsivaiz; and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Monsivaiz and Rosa Monsivaiz.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Garcia (Liborio), Joe Monsivaiz (Mary) and Monica Monsivaiz (Anita); his grandsons, Jesse Angel Monsivaiz and Joey Angel; his great grandchildren, Jesse Ezekiel Monsivaiz, Jaime Hernandez III and Orlando Reyes Lozoya; and his nephew Rey. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one great-great grandchild expected this year, 1 sister, 3 brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Art's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children Hospital, of which he was a strong supporter for many years.
