He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Filosa and Edith Funaro Filosa; his wife Ruth Irene Filosa; his daughter Mary Edith Filosa Brown; his great grandchild Xiomara Filosa; and his siblings, Marvin S. Filosa (late Betty) and Marie M. Filosa.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark Filosa, John Filosa (Cathaleen), Matthew Filosa (Mary Ellen), Luke Filosa (Karen) and Philip Filosa (Meegan); his son-in-law Richard Brown (Lisa); and his brothers, Kenneth Joseph Filosa (Florence), Lawrence Timothy Filosa (Susan) and Wayne Patrick Filosa (late Carol). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
