He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Angel Chavez and Jesusita Chavez; his wife Isabel Francis Chavez of Las Cruces, NM; his sister Elvira Adams of El Paso, TX.; his sons, Alfred Paul Chavez (Lina), Richard Chavez (Heather) and Joseph Angel Chavez (Lorelei); and his grandchildren, Andrew Valadez (Jessica), Curtis Hobby (Anastasia), Victoria Terrazas Chavez (Eric), Allison Harris (Charles), Mackenzie Chavez, Emily Chavez, Landon Chavez, Joseph Chavez, Jacob Chavez and Justice Chavez. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren, cousins, and extended family.
