He was predeceased by: his parents, Castulo Amaya and Ramona T. Amaya; and his son Salomon Rodriguez Amaya. He is survived by: his wife Maria Luz Bribiescas; his siblings, Francisco Amaya, Emilio Amaya, Margarito Amaya, Carmen Amaya and Brijido Amaya; and his children, Mari Cruz Rodriguez (Juan Neyra), Luz Maria (Luis Vega), Elsa Amaya, Mario (Marisol Amaya), Manuel (Emilia Amaya), Juan (Cynthia Amaya) and Jesus Amaya. He is also survived by his family, including his 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
