It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Sarah Baker of La Luz, New Mexico, who passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Glen C. Agnew (Jake) and Ethlyn Agnew; her children, Trey (Jenny), Ed, Desiree Baker and Anthony Baker (A. J.); her grandmother Ethel Guy; her brother Steve Agnew; her in-laws, Orlin and Nellie Baker; her husband Edward Baker; her siblings, Jennifer Young (Bill) and Ron Agnew (Melanie); her siblings-in-law, Stephen Baker (Karen), Paul Baker (Tina), Brian Baker (Susan), Kathy Baker and Pat Baker (Tom); her children, Angela Weller (Andrew), Henry Louis Way III (Tina Peterson), Jennifer Baker (Jeff Bills), Jessie Baker, Krista Baker, Jenna Holloway of Desiree Baker, A. J and David Baker; her grandchildren, Chelsey, Clint Hammack, Rick Pethick, Natasha Mathews, Oscar Carlin (Toni), Cailin, Casey Riedel, Sarah Pethick, Mariah Pethick, Zach Stone, Ava Holloway and Daniel Baker; and her great grandchild Carver Hammack. She was also cherished by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family.
She was also a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow, an award presented to those who make an outstanding contribution to the community, going above and beyond in service while promoting change and understanding.
