He was predeceased by: his parents, Trinidad Moreno and Mary Moreno; his sisters, Theresa Fajardo and Demecia Gallegos; his brothers-in-law, Rey Gallegos and Phillip Peralta; his niece Jennifer Villanueva; his nephews, Reyes Moreno and Gabriel Moreno; and his close friend Tony Encinias.
He is survived by: his nephew Mikal; his great-nephew Brandon; his nephew Little League; his wife Misty; his son Brandon Smith; his granddaughter Raeanna Ruiz; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Estrella, Christopher, Chrisdyana, Suli, Lala and Rayana; his siblings, Pete (Sally), Manuel (Barbara), Ruben, Jude Moreno, Rosie (James Garley), Erlinda, Freddie Villanueva, Priscilla (Jerry Barela) and Angela Peralta; his brother-in-law David Fajardo; his brothers, Honorary Pallbearers Rudy Jaramillo and Michael Sanchez; and his caregiver Margaret of Ambercare.
