With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen M. Chavez of Jarales, New Mexico, who passed away on July 2, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Chavez; her sons, Charles and Oster Chavez; her parents, Macedonio Baca and Bessie Trujillo Baca; and her siblings, Margaret Josephs, Lucy Garcia, Dolores Silva, Albino, Manuel and Arsenio Baca.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel Lawrence, Michael Chavez, Delma Carrillo (Ronnie), Bessie Garcia and Judy Olguin; her grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan Garcia, Jason Carrillo, Nicholas Olguin (Marlene), Amanda Luna (Ricky), Melissa Carrillo and Nicole Maldonado (Joel); and her sister Marina Griego. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
