Pena of Hurley, New Mexico, born in East Los Angeles, California, who passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Jaramillo and Catarina Jaramillo; her husband Raul D. Peña; her son Raul J Peña; and her siblings, Natalia, Lorenza, Consuelo, Antonio and Macedonio.
She is survived by: her sibling Pablita; her daughter Virginia P Cruz; her children-in-law, Art Cruz and Anna Peña; her sisters, Angelina Garcia and Polly Marquez (Ramon); her siblings-in-law, Miguel Peña (Walo Peña Della) and Teresa Peña; her grandchildren, Monica Cruz-Arvidson (Chris), Artie Cruz, Luis Cruz, Vanessa, Vicente (Ilene), Veronica, Alicia (Ron) and Genevieve Peña; her great grandchildren, Ramon Vigil, Sebastian Cruz (Shantell), Salvador Cruz, Brandon Medina, Marcelina Cruz-Arvidson (Dom), Josh Medina, Adrianna, Jazmine Peña, Joe Pena, Juanito Flores, Carolina Cruz-Arvidson, Violet Cruz, Jordyn Alarcon and Justyn Cruz; her great great grandchildren, Sofia Peña-Chavez, Ezno Cruz, Illyana Arvidson-EspinozaGodchildren, Danny Marquez, Sandra Ortiz, James Palacios, Stella Sierra, Joanne Herrera and Rudy Peña; her grandson Raul C Peña; and also, Angel Alcaraz (Bill Gutierrez), Sanchez and Cecilia Gutierrez.
We also witnessed her example of love and charity, in what she prepared, how she served us, and her patience in letting no one sit alone at the table.
