He is survived by: his children, Edward Alvarez (Martha) of Silver City, Lawrence Alvarez (Martha) of Las Cruces, David Alvarez of Albuquerque, Louis Alvarez (Lisa) of Hurley, Elizabeth Telles (C. Steve) and Katherine Couzin (Pete) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
