He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Sims and Sariah Jordan; his wife Bertha Lonadier; and his siblings, Louvina Lester, Maudie Sims, Lucian Sims, Otheo Sims, Orean Gass, Edna Sims, Myrtis Gilcrease, Cora Gass, Robert Sims and Audrey Rijah.
He is survived by: his sons, David (Dawn) and Michael (Denise); his grandchildren, Gregory, Kaiden and Jake; and his great grandchildren, Dusty, Krysta and Danika. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family and friends.
