He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Anne (McGee) and Thomas Joseph Salb Sr.. He is survived by: his daughter Teri Elizabeth (Tom); his wife Karen Jan Maciolek; his sisters, Ellen Steeb of Portland, Oregon and Dorothy; his brother-in-law Jerry Betts of Albuquerque; and his in-laws, Judy, Don Wagner, Mark Maciolek, Robert Maciolek and William Maciolek of Albuquerque.

The family requests that instead of flowers donations be made to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, 1001 State Highway 1, San Antonio, NM 87832.
