He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Salazar and Cruz Salazar; his son Jon Isaiah "Fat Daddy" Salazar; his brother Hector Salazar; his niece Anissia Salazar; and his father-in-law Nuno Cobarrubio.
He is survived by: his children, Raul R. Salazar of Hagerman, NM, Rudy G. Salazar (Stephanie) of Hobbs, Isaac Salazar (Lisa) of Hobbs, NM and Victoria Brenea Salazar of Hobbs, NM; and his siblings, Joann Alba (Bobby) and Arturo Salazar. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
