It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Boone of Hobbs, New Mexico, born in Seagraves, Texas, who passed away on February 20, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Willis Boone and Mamie Lee Stubbs Boone; his wife Martha Jean McKinnon; his brother John Frank; and his son John Mark.

He is survived by: his children, Luann Martin (Connie Mack) of Shreveport and Randy Boone of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Morgan Temple (Hunter) of Shreveport, Mackenzie Martin of Shreveport and Mark Martin of Shreveport; his great grandchildren, Liam Martin, Anna Katherine Temple, Ava Temple and Andrew Temple of Shreveport, Louisiana.; his nephew Kirk Boone of Denver; and his nieces, Kim Conner of Georgetown and Karen Anderson of Temple, Texas..

“Lunann and Randy--I know this is a difficulty time for you and your family. I visited with you dad a few times and did not know him well. I taught with you mother for six years. She often shared how much she loved and respected your dad. He must have been very special. I saw his strength when your brother was killed and few days later as you mother's dad passed away. You dad was ready to lead out or stand in the background depending what your mother needed at that time Dr. Harold Smith”
