It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Lopez Salazar of Hobbs, New Mexico, born in Pecos, Texas, who passed away on February 20, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dolores Lopez and Geronimo Lopez; her siblings, Manuelita Lovas Rendon, Mary Helen Vasquez, Raymond Lopez, Patricia Segura, David Lopez and Joe Lopez; and her son Nathaniel Lopez Salazar.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Salazar (Nora), Venisa Salazar, Erica Fulton (Charles), Rachel Sorheim (Mark), Michelle Salazar, Fernando Salazar (Melody), Victoria Salazar and David Lemalu (Brittany); and her siblings, Anita Maldonado (Raymond), Charlie Lopez, Rita Chavez, Geronimo Lopez Jr., Frank Lopez, Beatrice Lopez, James Huckabee and Silvia Collins. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
