With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rafe Jones of Hobbs, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 56. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rafe Jones to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vernon (Cowboy), Marcella Jones, Dwight and Babe Harvey; his cousin Clint Jones; his aunt Tricia Jones; and his uncle Spud Jones.
He is survived by: his mother Jeannie Chisolm (Tom Jones); his wife Georgianne Jones; his son Tanner Jones (Shonda); his grandsons, Weston and Brody; his daughters, Shyanne Haisten and Bailey Haisten (Chris); his father Tommy Lafyette Jones (Connie); and his siblings, Genee Darden (Craig), Cutter Wagley (Judith), Austin Jones (Bree), Edie Jones, Traci Hamilton (Jeff), Michael Jones, Hannah McDaniel (Jake), Becca Smith (Matt) and Sue Baldwin (Jerry). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nephews; and a host of dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Hope Funerals & Cremations (3321 N Dal Paso St, Hobbs, NM 88240). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 1901 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs, NM 88240. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery (2201 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs, NM 88240).
In lieu of flowers, Rafe requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Lubbock, Texas, and Light of Lea County in Hobbs, New Mexico.
