He was predeceased by: his mother Juanita Reyes; and his granddaughter Myliegh Rose Roberts. He is survived by: his father Abel Gardea; his wife Clara Gardea; his daughters, Brenda (Thomas Roberts) and Zaira Gardea; his siblings, Luis Carlos Gardea, Alejandro Gardea, Robeto Gardea, Jazheel Gardea, Josue Gardea, David Gardea, Martha Gardea, Araceli Gardea and Karina Gardea; and his grandchildren, Milani Roberts, Daviegh Roberts, Davina Roberts and Zyliegh Moralez.
