It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Ponce (Hobbs, New Mexico), who passed away on December 27, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Manuel and Eva Gamboa; her siblings, Monserrate, Hector Gamboa and Lilia Guttierrez; and her grandson Jose Adan Meza.
She is survived by: her husband Jose Ponce; her children, Robert Ponce (Irene), Elida Meza (Rigoberto), Reymundo Ponce (Maria) and Sergio Ponce (Virginia "Kina"); her siblings, Octavio Gamboa, Ines Gamboa and Elia Gamboa; her grandchildren, Flor Garcia, Omar Meza, Robert Ponce Jr., Laura Ponce, Mark Ponce, Jeronimo Ponce, Anthony Ponce, Veronica Ponce, Virginia Ponce, Rey Ponce, Giovanna Ponce, Jenny Marquez, Anahi Marquez and Yathzari Ponce; and her great grandchildren, Jayvien Meza, Delaney Gacia, D'Lilah Meza and Anthony Meza.
