He was predeceased by: his parents, Lettie Atwood (Maxwell) and William Henry Atwood. He is survived by: his former wife Jeannie Thompson; his wife Jeannie Atwood of Hobbs; and his children, Leonard Atwood, Jr. (Cecilia) of Hobbs, Robert Atwood (Twyla) of Carlsbad and Ginger Holland of Lindale, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
