It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Day (Hobbs, New Mexico), born in Seminole, Texas, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joanna Day to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Joe H. Matthews; her sister Mona Matthews; and her nephew Derrick Haynes. She is survived by: her mother Nona Matthews; her husband Jeff Day; her son Kaden Day; her mother-in-law Janie Day; her half-siblings, Anna Gamboa, Leslie Allen, Amanda Crossland and Craig Matthews (Hilda); her sister Eileen Freydberg; her siblings-in-law, Deanne Richardson, Sheryl Lockmiller (Rick) and Michael Day; and her nieces and nephews, Deryl Haynes Jr., Amanda Haynes and Andrew Mendoza.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Methodist Church (200 E Snyder St, Hobbs, NM 88240).
