He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrin Ray and Betty J. Carr; and his former wife Anita. He is survived by: his children, April Price of Slidell and Homer C. Carr Jr. of El Reno, Oklahoma.; his siblings, Robert Carr (Myra) of Hobbs, Gary Carr (Melba) of Hobbs, David Carr of Hobbs and Linda Allen (Dennis) of Jal; his close friend Valerie Bush of Hobbs; and his pet Leo. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
