She is survived by: her parents, Ben Brooks and Verlene Brooks; and her children, Carrallyn Lanette Mitchell, Poetry Royall III, Lashelia Diane Alexander (William), Benjamin James Royal (Rebecca), Julian Jay Demikko Royal and Sexton Richard Terrell Royal. She is also survived by five brothers and two sisters.
