With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Coach Salgado Jr. (Hobbs, New Mexico), born in Alpine, Texas, who passed away on February 9, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Isidoro Sr. Salgado and Catalina Salgado; and his grandson Brian Marker. He is survived by: his wife Irene Salgado; his children, Larry Salgado (Maria) of Albuquerque, NM, Carmen Marker (Gus) of Hobbs, NM, Freddie Salgado (Leanne) of Hobbs, NM, Lolly Abney (John) of Midland, TX and Patty Otero (Paul) of Albuquerque, NM; his grandchildren, Meagan Salgado Walton (Edward), Myla Gutierrez Winter (Andrew), Ashton Ammons and Bryce Gutierrez; his great grandchildren, Madison and Amelia Winter; his children, Cannon, Keeli, Kyler, Brittaney Abney, Chris Marker (Alyssa), Jordan, Aurora, Erica Pilkilton and Sophia; his brother Pete Salgado of Alpine, TX; and also Tausha Creed (Lonnie). He is also survived by five children, eleven wonderful grandchildren and two precious great-granddaughters.
