He was predeceased by: his siblings, Juventino Astorga, Alberto Astorga, Pablo Pérez, Ismael Pérez, Concepción Alvarado and Mercedes Alvarado; and his children, Román Astorga, Rosa Emma Astorga, Cesar Astorga and Sofia Astorga.

He is survived by: his wife Maria Felipe Astorga. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters.
