He is survived by: his wife Lavella Jean McDowell; his children, Felicia Nzere (Matthew) and Albert Smith Jr. (Rosa); his grandchildren, Michael, Sydney, Jaiden, Orie, Hailey and Kobe; his great grandchild Matthias; and his sisters-in-law, Ernestene Smith and Shirley Golden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
