He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd Staley; his grandparents, Roque and Theresa Trujillo; and his uncle Julian Trujillo. He is survived by: his mother Mary Staley; his siblings, Kathryn Staley (Zach) and Greg Gallegos; his niece Ava Fresquez; and his nephew Luke Fresquez.
