With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvia Kathleen Merritt of Hatch, New Mexico, who passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Woodward and Elizabeth Woodward; her siblings, Iris Elizabeth Woodward and Jerry; her sister-in-law Barbara Woodward; her niece Terry Teaf; and her stepson John Merritt.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas B Toney II; her former husband Albert S. Merritt; her brother Clinton Woodward PhD (Dion); her children, Kris Toney, Kathy Stevens and Michael Toney; her stepsons, Ken and Robert Merritt; her cousins, Ara Janelle Woodward and Amy Buesing (Mark); and her close friend Virginia Black. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St Judes Childrens Hospital.
