He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Smith and Roselie K. Atkins; and his sister Charlene Smith. He is survived by: his wife Regina Smith of Hagerman; his son Neal Smith of Las Cruces; his sister Shelia M. Upton of Peoria, Arizona; his aunts, Sharon Tyler and Elizabeth Capito; his nieces, Crystal Chandler, Tressa Upton and Cassy Upton; and his great-niece Bailey Upton. He is also survived by many cousins, and friends.
