She was predeceased by: her parents, Le Roy and Lula May McDaniel; her husband Jimmie R. Saunders; her siblings, Roy G. McDaniel and Nita B. McDaniel McMillan; and her grandson Aaron Saunders.
She is survived by: her sister Norma Grace Merritt; her children, Craig Saunders (Tammy) and Denise Metzger; and her grandchildren, Deidre Patel (Victor), Todd Metzger (Chelci) and Justin Saunders. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
