He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margie Marez; his children, Samantha Eylicio (Estevan), Robert Marez and Ethan Tafoya; his grandson Nicholas Eylicio; his godchildren, Jacqueline Tafoya, Ryan Marez, Paul Leroy Martinez and Bella Tafoya; his mother Ruth Marez; his siblings, Eddie Marez and Theresa Candelaria (Carlos); and his grandparents, Jose, Gabriella Marez, Nazario and Angela Lopez.
